Affixing Equipment Identification Number

   Within 30 days of receipt of the ARB-issued EIN, fleet owners shall permanently affix or paint the EIN(s) on the

      vehicle in clear view according to the following specification:

(A) The EIN shall be white on a red background. (B) The EIN shall be located in clear view on the right (starboard) side of the outside of the vehicle approximately 5 feet above

     the ground, or, if the vehicle is not 5 feet tall, lower on the vehicle. (EIN LABELS)

(C) Each character shall be at least 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) in height and 1.5 inches (3.8 centimeters) in width.   

(D) The EIN shall be maintained in a manner that retains its legibility for the entire life of the vehicle. (EIN LABELS)
